The idea behind these posters has proved really successful and popular with the students and teachers that I have used them with. The idea isn’t an original one but I developed the posters to use as a teaching resource and then a scaffold for students’ writing. The posters detail the:
Describe, Compare, Associate, Analyse, Apply, and Argue strategy, which can be used to extend writing ideas. You can use any object or picture as a stimulus for this activity and it can be used for whole class, group or individual work. The most popular ones that I have used have been:
* An old shoe
* A toothbrush
* An old tennis ball
* A bike lock and key DOWNLOAD
